Best Audio Books For Long Drives

Best Audio Books to listen to when you are on a long drive or when you drive for a living.

I am a driver, which means I am in my car for up to 12 hours a day. So my only company would be the radio, but you can only listen to the regurgitated music and talk shows for so long before you start banging your head across the steering wheel and start talking to yourself. In addition to looking like a crazy person talking to myself I could also feel my brain cells wasting away, I needed stimulation for my brain so I got a membership to my local library and starting renting out Audio CD's of every kind.  Now I couldn't wait to go to work everyday and let my imagination go to work while listening wonderful audio books. The following is a list of notable titles from each author:

Robert Parker's - Spenser Series

Between 1973 and 2011, Robert B. Parker published nearly 70 books. Almost all of them were bestsellers. A few of his greatest works are:Wonder Land, Silent Night, Cheap Shot, Kickback, Slow Burn and Little White Lies.

Jeff Abbott's - Sam Capra Series

One of my favorite authors of all time, Jeff Abbott is the New York Times bestselling, award-winning author of many mystery and suspense novels. He has been called “one of the best thriller writers in the business” (Washington Post). The Sam Capra Series is pure  brilliance.

Sam Capra is a brilliant CIA agent, loving husband, and soon-to-be father. But in one horrifying moment in London, he loses everything that matters to him.

Sam becomes a new kind of hero: an owner of bars in cities around the world, using his skills to track down those who took his family from him. And then, in turn, to help the helpless and protect the innocent.

Notable books include: Adrenaline, Last Chance, The Last Minute, Downfall, Inside Man and The First Order.
